How Entrust Datacard Built a Channel Enablement Solution on OrderCloud.io:
Entrust Datacard, a six hundred million dollar global manufacturer of technologies that create trusted identities and secure transactions, utilizes a global channel of partners for sales across the world. The marketing team chose OrderCloud.io to build a Channel Enablement solution that their partners could use to access, customize and manage branded and approved marketing collateral and campaign assets. This has created a differentiated experience for partners that has given them a competitive advantage in the market.
HOW USER GROUPS HELP YOU CREATE DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES FOR DIFFERENT USERS:
It may sound like a development nightmare to try to build a portal for a network of partners in 34 countries around the world. Different languages, different currencies, different types of marketing teams with different goals. Creating hundreds of different portals for each unique type of partner was not an administrative challenge Entrust Datacard was willing to take on.
If you’re looking to create multiple storefronts using a single admin, you’ll want to use User Groups. User Groups on OrderCloud.io are assortments of users with similar purchasing and viewing experiences. Assignments to the user group will be inherited by members of that group and may include things like unique pricing, accessible products, promotions, languages, etc. This greatly reduces the number of potential assignment calls. For example, rather than creating 100 different assignments to 100 similar partners, you can make one assignment to the user group which will affect all users within that group.
